    toshiba c650 sat pro

    seems to be a common problem with these my daughter was on fb clicked a link the display went blue then blank most likely a coincidence ,when you boot up you get nothing blank screen no way of getting in to the bios , i've removed power the ram hardrive cosmos battery as i've seen it to be a fix , it works for a few mins then freezes back to blank any other ideas cheers

    Usually down to overheating, although 5 minutes doesn't seem a long time. Much dust inside? Might also be worth running a RAM test (memtest of a linux live cd) on it.
    My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
    Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.

      have a feeling its the ram ok was upgraded to 4 gig from 2 might jus go back to 2g its fast enough for her what you use to test it ??

        Same prodlem

        I have been given a C650 laptop with the same symptoms.
        The last time it worked it booted to Windows 7 and then froze.
        On attempting to restart, a blank screen and no obvious sign of disc activity.
        Holding F8 while powering up does not bring up the BIOS screen.
        I believe milk was split on it.
