my pc hdd drive has stopped working used wd tool to check hdd says contact support. was going to buy new one pc running xp should i get 16mb cache or 32mb cache only really use it for surfing net not much else

Solid state hdd are basically a big memory card without moving parts.
Conventional hdd (SATA/IDE) have moving parts making data access and writting slower
