have just ran reboot disc on pc but after about 2 mins it gives me option abort,fail,retry.when i abort it displays a message error 8 n0 cd rom drive.any ideas

you dont say what operating system you are using but if its xp you could try this.
To resolve this error under Windows 2000 or XP in an NTFS environment, perform the
following:
a. Boot from the Windows 2000 installation CD.
b. Select the "Console Recovery" option.
c. Repair the MBR by running the FIXMBR utility.sigpic
