    Male to male ?

    I bought a male to male 2.0 usb cable. How do you use it, i connected it to my PS3 in the belief that i could transfer files from my LAPTOP to my PS3, but bugger all happened. Can any of you guys tell me the point of this cable. Is there a bit of software i need to install or what?

      Not sure if that can be done. I transfered mine via FTP but mine was running a custom FW. You could in thoery take the HDD out and drop stuff onto it from pc/laptop again not sure if that would work. Could you not transfer from memory stick

          i have a external hdd, i can stream, use mem stick. streamin can be a bit slow kids usually steal the other two things n bring it to their houses, so thought usb, so whats the point of it. can you give me an idiots guide wot its for?
