    email hacking

    Hello, just got a strange email from my friend, I questioned him and he says he did not sent it, he also said its happened before and believes hes been hacked, he has asked for my help, so Im asking on here for some advise please, Thanks.

    Sounds likely that he has one of those stupid viruses that goes through his address book and sends everyone in it a copy of the virus by email to me. Run his Av checker.

      Totally agree. Normally hotmail accounts, that's why I don't use mine anymore, so annoying.

        just tell him to change passwords and do a virus scan , he`s clicked a link he shouldnt have also tell him to change add/remove programs for any silly programs that will have installed .

          My hotmail account was hacked by some chinese merchants to send mail to everyone in my address book. I used to have a simple password but it stopped when I changed the password to something stronger.
