    Laptop no powering up?

Laptop all of a sudden stopped working.

Nothing powers up, no lights etc.

Charger works fine, as I have tried a new one. I even tried it without the battery and just with the mains.

What is the most likely reason?

      it's a samsung R519.

How much does it cost to change the jack? If I was to self do it, where could I buy the jack?

Also is this a common problem with laptops?

lasltly is it easy to do?

If it was me I would take the laptop apart then plug the charger in and test for voltage behind the DC jack and to the connections on the board. BE VERY CAREFULL IF YOU DO THIS I HEAR THAT UK VOLTAGE BITES HARD. if voltage works through the DC jack to the board then something may be up with your motherboard. Use common sense and don't attempt this if you feel unable to do the task.
