    sites not loading

i've been trying for nearly 24 hours to access some sites which i visit every day without problem like oddschecker, ladbrokes, skybet and others but the page either does not load at all or loads then i cant access any of the content as i get the message in yellow triangle problem loading page i'm having the same problem with firefox and i.e and on my laptop and computer, when i did a microsoft security essentials scan (laptop)yesterday afternoon it found and removed a virus which i think i picked up from watching a stream of the boxing on saturday could this have anything to do with it? i am able to access some sites as normal including some betting sites maybe a little slower but if i'd had a problem with the virus with the laptop surely it wouldnt affect the computer?
    any ideas?

i'm using microsoft security essentials it found and removed virus(laptop) then i did malwarebytes scan and it found no problems and i did another essentials full scan and again came back with no problems found but i have the same problem with my computer and that didnt get the virus, i've tried to phone ladbrokes again but very busy no answer after 15 mins and the same for virgin so i think there might by other problems.
