    packardbell notebook problem

advice required i have a packard bell easynote mit-sable-g notebook, the problem is it will not power up when i plug the mains adapter in and switch it on. all i get is a red battery charge light when i press the start button the red light goes out, does the fan need to be running before anything else powers up, any advice would be most appreciated

    thanks doc

You could check the DC power jack on the notebook to make sure Your adapter plug is fitting properly and secure , ie , not loose internally on the motherboard . (bad solder joint)
Red light means a "no charge" condition right ? The system fan(s) should power on as the laptop does its' POST or power on self test .
