FACEBOOK PROBLEM

hi i got problem with my facebook when i try to chat with someone on chat after i have typed a message up and clicked to send i keep getting this white screen flashing most of the time the message dosent send another thing is i can be showing up as offline ? has anyone had any problems like this before any help would be very grateful thankyou .

Reinstall Java and Flash player...
