recently, i created a steam account and all i needed to do in the end was to install it. now, i've already bought a game and gave billing info. So far so good and it's finalizing. then it says updating.... in a few seconds this pops up... " Steam.exe(main exception):ERROR:delete of Steam.exe failed, Win32 Error 5"Access is Denied" comes up... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

try this
go to
C:\Program Files\Steam
look for steam.exe
right click on it then click on properties
then Compatibility then tick Run as Administrator
click apply
then go to General then
Untick Read Only if its selected
then click apply
try and run steam.
if it still not working go back to Compatibility
tick Run this program in compatiblity mode for windows xp (Service Pack 3)
