    CRC corrupted, all the time

    Hi all,

I have VM broadband and have been using it for some download, not a huge amount. But lately (I think since the day we have had phone installed) every time I download anything I get CRC file corrupt error. Any idea why this is? It?s so bad that I can?t download any file at all.

    Many thanks for any suggestions

crc is an error in the downloaded file could be caused by a download manager, the file being corrupt if a compressed file not packed correctly, try to download from a differant location or try it with a differant browser.

Thanks, I have just tried Firefox and it has made no difference. I have tried different PC around the house with same result. Just corrupt files, I never had the problem before, could it be down to the wiring? As when they installed the phone they attached the cable to the main outlet on front of the house.

Have you called VM and spoke them yet? Sounds odd, never heard of it before.. are you using a laptop, if you are go to a friends and try a download or go to MacDonalds and try a download there. You need to figure out whether its your machine or the broadband itself. VM will tell you its your machine...

Have a read through this > Cyclic Redundacy Check or CRC error.

sounds very much like your broadband connection is causing your crc error especially after trying other pc`s if it`s vm get them to sort it.
