    what's wrong with my comp?

...other than it being a useless heap of crap

its as if my pc has just 'forgotten' how to connect to the inernet, it is a wired connection to the router and everything on the pc looks ok, says it is connected etc. But when i go to load onto any site using opera, FF and IE it just loads to an error.

But when we use a mobile for tethering it works fine? :/

i dont have a system restore setting so cant do th.

    Any advice?

    Can you ping any website.

To ping a site open a command prompt and type

    ping www.bbc.co.uk

If its that loud when booting up. Take side of case off and get a can of air to blow out all dust from heat sinks. But you may want to take it outside to do it

Or just stick Henry's hose inside & give it a wriggle.

Any time my wife or boss has computer or modem problems here is the advice that I give them:

Turn them off, then turn them back on...

This works about 95% of the time so far!
