microsoft office update needs to stop ?

Hi folks, my good wife uses a laptop that has windows 7 which had a trial version of office 2010 on it. The trial ran out so i put her older 2007 version from her pc onto the laptop for her to save paying for 2010 version.
Now every week when the laptop does an update from microsoft it tries to update the old 2007 version upto 2010, which is AGAIN a trial period !!!!
How do i stop this update occurring ??? I want the rest of the updates just want to stop the OFFICE update.......I'm sure you used to be able to see a list of the available updates before you installed them on older versions of windows, can i do this with windows 7 please ??

click START (in the bottom left hand corner) - ALL PROGRAMS - WINDOWS UPDATE - CHANGE SETTINGS
