    monitor won't work

Got a problem with my monitor, it won't come on with the pc.

Was working fine earlier, booted the pc up and now saying No Signal.

I've plugged the monitor into another pc and it works fine, so it must be a problem with the tower.

Can anyone give me any pointers of what it could be?

    Thanks

graphic card.. is it built in or an addon? either pci-x or agp..
if its an addon and u dont have built in vgra also, then grab another graphics card... if you DO have built in as well as addon, try it in the mobo vga port..
IF its mobo vga only, then its either buy an addon card if you can or new mobo

Erm...the part which the monitor plugs into detaches from the main motherboard cos I have just took it off. Says GeForce FX CGN-348TVD-1 on it.

Has the monitor plug, TV OUT plug and LCD plug

      That the graphics card?

yep.. try and borrow one from a mate before u buy a new one... if it works with donated card, (and it must be same connection ie if urs is agp(brown slot), then u need an agp card) then u can go out and buy a new one..

Yeah it's a brown slot. Got a few old PCs in the loft I'll try and get one of them to bits

You could also try resetting your cmos, remove battery for half an hour then try again

Replaced the graphics card, and now working fine :-)

Now to fix the sound or soundcard

Maybe you have drivers problems... try to enter in safe mode (if you are using Windows) and delete drivers. Same you can try with your video card (bad one, of course!). Your old video card maybe was in a mode that monitor cant show (more resolution that your monitor can show or support)... them reinstall fresh drivers!
BTW, with your old video card can you see POST? (power on self test, showing logo, info @ bios etc.)

I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them. Tried updating and it says they are the latest version. Tried manually updating and still no.joy.

                      Still says no audio device

find out what the error code is for the yellow question mark, that should help to find the problem,
if you don't know how to get the error code check links bellow.
