Hi guys i have been having problems with my sony vaio battery for a few weeks now. The model is the vaio vgn-c2s
On the taskbar the wee picture of the battery has a red cross through it and when i start up the laptop it wont start unless i take out the battery. I ordered a genuine sony battery costing 50 quid from amazon and it worked ok for a few days then reverted back to the same problems so i sent the battery back and they sent me a brand new replacement. I put it in tonight and again the red cross has come up and the machine wont start with the battery inserted. The machine works absolutely fine running on just the a/c wall charger and i checked the voltage output from this with a multimeter and its showing up fine voltage wise. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Ps i have checked the a/c drivers and battery drivers with device manager its says the battery and charger are fine and so are the drivers.
