If it's Windows read this, and try all 3 methods.

I've had a few comp's where the only way to fix this was to reinstall Windows!

For desktops, sometimes a different power supply does the trick.

it can be a bit troublesome this sometimes

try shutting down not hibernation or sleep complete shutdown the pc/laptop pull the
power cable out or adapter from laptop for 2-3 mins then

then put the cable/adapter back in and boot up hopefully it should now be useable

if it does not work sometimes another psu works like rg66 said

Discovered that this error was caused by a blackberry being charged via usb

With lappies and netbooks sometimes the current and voltage available to drive the USB ports is too low and nothing will work.
If you plug in the charger and they all work then it is a low voltage problem. The moral of the story is don't charge your phone from your lappy

Get a powered USB hub ... and it should help with low voltage for USB addadons. !

Please >>>> Click Thanks >>>> If I helped you.

I have the same problem in one hp nc6120 , sometimes the usb ports don"t work, or stop to work !
I see voltage usb port, is very irregular 3.60v to 5.02 or more !
I know this is a constant problem in some HP series, but if anyone have one solution for this problem please report!
