Trying to connect my pc to my tv

Hi there, I'm trying to connect my pc and tv together.

This online configurator suggests that I need a VGA to HDMI converter and 3 other cables, but can I not also use a wireless USB streamer? Or will the quality be reduced?

I've got a Samsung Chromebook Series 5 laptop and I need to connect it to a Sharp "LC-52LE925" 3D TV

    Best wishes

If your Laptop has HDMI output, then use HDMI cable..

If your Laptop only VGA output then use a VGA cable.

You'll also need an appropriate audio cable to connect output from your Laptop to the audio input on your TV.

I have my tv hooked up to my computer and it is not hard.

I used a DVI to VGA adapter and an audio cable.
I have also hooked my buddys pc to his tv through the HDMI hookup. That transfers video and sound to the tv.

Hope this helps you some. just using some personal experience

yeah the Samsung Chromebook Series 5 laptop
i think is VGA port only i think

you can try vga to hdmi with tv but the fact is its not hdmi-hdmi so the performance and quality will be lowered compared to full hdmi connection.

and also not all tvs accept that way of connection some are 1 cable connections only

but like nibblitz said you also have vga to vga

          Go VGA to VGA
          HDMI to HDMI ...

          Converters are not recommended.

You should have a HDMI cable that came with the laptop,if not you can find one at an electronics store. If u have one just connect them and change to HDMI 1 or 2 depends on what part you inserted the cable. Hope it helped!

Looks like this laptop uses a MINI-VGA output jack (adaptor included)Plug it into the laptop and get a vga cable to go from it to the tv. audio looks like it uses 3.5 mm jack.

you will need 3.5 mm stereo plug to dual rca jacks
