    Please help

i have a xpc shuttle cube, its a custom build 1, and capable of running xp and vista, when i upgraded to vista i lost my sound and usb ports, i have tried numerous drivers and scanners and still left with the same problem.

the motherboard is a shuttle FS30V10/SS30V10
    intel pentium twin processor
    2gb ram

in device manager there are no yellow ?'s or red crosses,
in control panel under sound it does say no audio device installed,

i have gone back to running xp because everything was working fine, but i still have same problem.

Is It Vista compatible? If it is, then I would strongly recommend you to install Win7 on it. In there you have the latest drivers and if its still not working you will just update until they work.

Otherwise, dose it work whit XP?

to be honest the sound problem doesnt bother me its the usb ports that are, if they was working i can just get a usb sound device no problem.

It seems that you have no problem whit the hardware.. But try to download this tool and run it to see if everything is supported:

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

            could be the bios..

i've had similar problems with shuttle pc's before. Have you gone into the bios and made sure the usb ports are enabled and if so try to also clear nvram. (Plug and Play OS = YES)

            hope it helps^^
