no rep yet i need more help pls
when i formatted i used tosh installation cd,had the option of sizing the partition,,,i thought that by setting it at 10gb my os would be on there and the other 60 or so gb would be what i use for anything else
anyway i now only have 10gb partition, its full already and i need to make it bigger,,im getting confused trying to sort this,,,,done a search and come up with run/cmd/listdisk/resize etc etc but it wont work for me,,does anyone know how i can resize the partition without formatting again ? win xp

is ur windows on the 10gb partition?

its a good idea to have atleats 40GB or 50GB C: Drive as windows uses the extra space to help the system move faster aslo give u enuff room to install all ur programs

i recommend u make ur C drive 30GB and using easeus

win from vista im sure could resize partitions pretty quickly. pretty sure xp a pain in backside.
Gparted is a prog to resize partitions, you can get a boot-cd.
however, for quickness, id probably just restore again, leave decent size in partition and put back your stuff again.

if your RAM is 2.5, id check both your RAM chips are of same Specifications, i.e they both have same clock speed.
The faster one will only run at the speed of the slowest chip, and wont always immprove performance.
you can get drive up to 1tb, the 1tb drive is 2mm thicker so may not fit inside your laptop, so probably 500gb id advise if you want to upgrade it. and nearly any computer shop will sell you that.

yes i was gonna recommend b4 2 upgrade ur hdd

how fast is ur current hdd it will say on it either 5400rpm or 7200 rpm and whats the cache size

this 1 i would buy and use as ur windows drive if the other is slower also able to make 2 partions at good sizes keeping ur old hdd handy to back things up onto https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials...roductId=48045

just as i thought maximum expandability : 4,096 MB

                                so u can have 2 x 2GB ram sticks

i will also find u an extra ram stick u need to tell me the type

                                are u on ebay??
