Yeah sure give that a go above. I have used similar tools and although they are usually pretty good, they arent 100% reliable and a few faulty HDDs have slipped the net. Its worth a go though. The more diagnostics you perform the closer you will get to your solution

im now trieing to boot mini xp but get so far and it says the drive is not ready for use,its door may be open. Please check drive/device/harddisk0/dro and make sure that a disk is inserted and the drive door is closed.
It could be a number of things but a would guess one of your drives is faulty or not seated properly..
Even if the hard drive is humped it should still boot a live disc from your optical drive..
Get the back panels off it and make sure all cards and drives are seated properly .
When you reboot make sure all usb devices are unplugged as a usb pen plugged in can completely cripple Windows at start up..
Listen for a continues clicking noise from the hard drive and also any horrible clunking noises from the optical drive.
If still wont boot a live disc after doing this then post back..

sounds like hard drive mate. quick n easy way to tell - boot a live linux disc (ubuntu, xubuntu etc) and if it boots and loads properly, its the hard drive

just read the post above me properly....sorry mate, wasn't nicking your ideas!
