AVG 2011

since i put AVG on my computer it has slowed down a lot to the point were sometimes after i have switched the computer on it can take 10 minutes or longer before i can do anything at first i thought it was my Google Chrome, but i found it wasnt it ever since i put this AVG in my computer seems to be dragging its heels any ideas pleases .

yes its a big draw on a pc,i got rid of mine and now use avast-antivirus much better and not a hogger of resources and free.

also use a program called crap cleaner.

i used to use Avast before but when the it needed renewing it came up with a message saying i had to purchase it if i wanted to keep it after 30 days ?

no you dont i just renew my license for the free one.

I got rid of avg for the same reason and then got rid of avast and now use microsoft security essentials which is also free.
So far, after a year, no problems and have it set to do a scan once a week.

I use avast FREE have done for years but have started running malware bytes along side of it. These 2 are a must and work well together if your on faceshite and other social shites
