    bios problem

    i have a dell xps desktop and wgen i was updating my bios with an upgrade it froze, no i cant boot my pc.

    i tried the recommended switching of the battery jumper pins to reset the bios but that didnt work.


    does anyone have any suggestions?

    Have you tried taking the battery out as well?

        I don't know...maybe you must just to change the battery if it not works

          what model Dell xps xxxx ? what bios does it use? there may be a way using usb stick?

            Dell Studio XPS 435 Desktop with no floppy drive, i didnt know you could take the battery out how would i do that, im leery because im disabled and shaky, with my hands, and thanks so much for all your help

            oh yeah i cant even get it to start booting so how could a floppy or a usb work if it wont even boot into the bios?

              try removing the cmos battery its also known as the bios battery that may work
