    Probs loading windows on pc

    Hi there can anyone help.....

My pc was doing a full scan yesterday when it froze up completely,so I held in main tower button for 5 seconds to reset but now, when i try to turn the pc, (windows xp home ed, BTW) I get a blue screen warning, blah blah.

Had these before and can generally get by but this time i can't get the pc to start windows at all. I get the windows xp screen to come on (with the blue loading bar running left to right) but that doesn't get across one full line before the blue screen comes on again (everytime). I have tried safe mode and debugging mode but still the same, basically i cant do anything.

On start up i do have f1 which leads to settings and f10 which leads to system recovery but theres family photos and important documents on there that i dont have backed up.

Need help please guys and girls

    Thanks a million

What you need to do ideally is get the stop code and google it, as windows will only stop on hardware/driver issues.
Its sounding like a badly clustered hard drive here again.
What you need to do is get a copy of win xp.
Load into the windows set up when promted to press any key to enter set up (when bios is set to boot from cd)
Once set up has loaded select the recovery option.
This will load a command prompt.
Select the instalation of windows you need to log into by the correspnding number (1 2 3 ect)
will ask you for admin password, if 1 not set dont enter 1
Once the command prompt has loaded type 'chkdsk_/r' (swapping the underscore for a space and loosing the ')
And leave it to complete the scan, this could take a while depends upon the size and state of the hard drive.
If it still doing it after that i would change the cable running from the hard drive to the motherboard as these are common causes too.

Again i really suggest that you google the fault as these blue screens (bsod) only happen when there is something wrong and wont just go away. Approx 8 out of 10 are hardware related.

Hope this helps you out to get it back up and running.

You will need to enter the bios (setup) of the pc usually by pressing the 'delete key' and set the boot sequence to cdrom first.
        save and exit the bios.
Press the eject button on the cdrom/dvdrom.
Place a windows xp disc in and shut it.
        Reboot the pc.
Once you get the press any key to boot from cd, press any key on the keyboard. This will take you into the windows set up.

Try and grab yourself Windows Live edition. Its a rescue disc which will run Windows from a cd or usb stick, its for systems which wont boot properly. You can use it just like as if you were using it from the hdd installed version and get all the data you want off it.

If you just type rapidshare windows live edition into google you should find it.
