    1ST things 1ST

1.does the drive run when switch on.
    2.is there any noise like,clicking/knocking.
    3.in bios-does it show hard drive parameters-ie name,size etc.
4.is hard drive formatted and left that way.ie no O/S been put back in.

Smart Error means a total hard disk failure may be imminent, it could give up tomorrow, next week, or it could maybe go for another year, either way and if it was me, I would be getting a new hard disk.. If you want to continue using the hard disk you can turn off the Smart error checking in bios so you dont get nagged by the message..

No disks to reinstall your OS , ummmm, you'll either have to buy or download windows then... Or why not give Ubuntu a go, its free and really quite good...

1 thing i always have is an external sata case, any drives i get they go in that, for a good check before go in machine.if you can get hold of one, stick it in,and on another pc give it a check, get yourself an operating system as well.pretty much lost without one,if you can get an operating system on the drive, even short term, will give you more help than we can,in checking drive out, without touch or see,its like walking into a blacked out room.

                  It can be

                  THE TRUTH
                  The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
