Hi, Im trying to do a system recovery on my laptop to put it back to factory settings but keep getting error message 0x80071126 can anybody help please.

What i have just read about this error could well be caused by a virus thats infected the recovery.
If you disable the recovery and delete it, then create a new 1 could cure it.
Otherwise did you not get any sort of system recovery discs with the system.
If theres not allot of data to back up (your files) then i'd actually reinstal windows and ensure there is a good anti virus running to prevent this from happening again.sigpic
