three years ago I bought the notebook hp dv6-1212sl with the toaster... ehm, with the processor AMD QL-65.
I spent a few minutes reading on web that dv6 gets hot, AMD uP runs hot, etc...
My measurements:
AMD QL-65 @ idle
kis 72 deg -> no kis 47 deg = 25 deg antivirus
sometimes @ idle 48 -> 61 with no reason = Win Vista ( & no kis )
ALL measurement with 30 deg room temperature
kis is "kaspersky internet security 2010", when it downloads the update, AMD stays at 80 Celsius degrees, but it could reach 91 deg.
I'll clean the heatsink, but the problem is kis.
Is it good if I try kis 2012?
Do I need fire extinguisher in my bedroom?
