    sata pci card

    i have a medion pc running vista trying to install a 4 port sata pci expansion card+ide via vt 6421a chipset put it in the only available slot turn on pc it says drivers being installed thats ok but the new hardware found pop up does not appear go into device manager nothing installed except via raid controller not to good on pc but trying to learn any help please thanks

    Did you get a drivers disk with the card?

      yes and i installed them but its the card im trying to get pc to see it i hope you can get what i mean i have been trying for hours i would like to know if it can be put on this pc or have i done something wrong some were along the line thanks

        goto the device amanger to see if its installed. You could try browsing the cd in the update driver from the device manager.

        If not, turn off pc, take it out, reboot with it out, the turn it back off, reinsert the card.
        Once windows sees the card, cancel it and run the setup.exe
