Found a Boot Disk but need some help befor I continue

I missed telling it which driver to choose for the CD Rom
did it just choose one for me it just moved on? I'm not at the A : the were the boot files are. The utilities are on Drive R I need to get my files off the hard drive before we clean it. Can you help

theres a few ways u can get to ur info

1: download hirens Hirens.BootCD.15.1.zip burn to dvd then pop into ur computer on start up and select mini xp.
this will load up an alternative windows and u will be able to view ur old HDD files

2: take the HDD out and hook it up 2 another comp this will then load up as a secondary drive and u will be able to see ur old files

3 : buy a new HDD and replace the old 1. Install windows back on ur new 1 and then connect the old HDD to comp this will then come up as a secondary drive and u will be able to view all ur old files
