my acer 5920 laptop has a drive d is this a partion and if so can i delete or format and add the free space from it to my c drive

its best to use a third party application like Acronis Disk Director or Partition Magic, both are easy to use..
Have a look here (above link), download this disk image (ISO) from one of the eternal links. It will make a bootable CD with both the apps mentioned above and stacks of other PC saving programs...
You will not find it hard to do..

Hi Mate that 2nd hD is has usually got your factory backup on ,as u dont get recovery disks any more , u can delete it no probs , but id create your own recovery 1st as said in the previous post with either Acronis or norton ghost,

Failing that you could download the version of windows you are running, then all drivers from acer.sigpic
