hi can any one help me my laptop used to play sound now it will not go at all were the speaker sign is it has a red x on it and when i go to device manager it says code 10 is there any one who could help me thanks the model is advent 8111.

think it's a driver issue but could be wrong.

Wrong drivers
Sometimes the windows update system will "see" the wrong drivers for Audio and will kill it . If you can try to "ROLL BACK" the Audio drivers to original drivers. Make a note of right drivers and download updates from that companys site.Comment
