    hp printer laserjet cp1525n

    Hi guys
    I have an hp printer cp1525n which is known printing red line down the right hand side of paper any idea?s why and how can i fix it.

    i have tried going through the service setting and paper clean but no joy!

    If you mean a magenta line then the magenta toner drum has a scratch on it, if it really is red that means the yellow and magenta have a drum scratch, unlikely to be both but a staple might kill several colours on the way through!. Pull the magenta toner out and lift the flap to look at the drum and see if it has a scratch on the end where you get the line, don't touch the surface or expose it to bright light as it might be something else (fuser roller). Fix for a knackered magenta is a new cartridge.

    Toner roller might be game over as I doubt it's a spare on a small laser (or economic)

    Toner and drum are combined on these printers so refilled or poor refurbed toners can come with a knackered drum sadly.
