need help please flash drive

hi

hope some 1 can help me,installed a program which totaly messed my laptop up so got in to safe mode and deleted programe pc works fine but when i insert a flash drive it comes up it needs to be formatted it dose this with every flash drive i have,its not the drives cause they work fine on another pc i have 4 f/d and it dose it on all of em,but if i go into safe mode all the flash drives work fine,any help would be appricated

have you checked that you have no yellow exclamation marks next to usb in device manager, indicating corupt/missing driver or try a system restore. But I would recommend you run an antivirus check unless you know the program you installed definately had no virus in it

ive checked no yellow exclamation mark against usb,when i look at the properties on f/d it says its raw but i no its not cause they all work fine on other pc.like i said it works fine in safe mode so there must be some conflicting programme from stopping the drives to boot up any ideas any1

This can be a sign that the flash drive is on its way out i had this in the past or because of the problems with windows you had a system file has been corrupted so it might be worth doing a windows repair.

This might not be of any help but;

have you tried to do a system restore? if you had to uninstall a program in safe-mode you don't have everything that keeps drivers working properly running and no flag would have gotten raised to a possible problem. I am guessing the program that was uninstalled had something to do with hardware?

might want to double check USB drivers, as the computer might be reading the drives incorrectly, making it think they need to be formatted.

go to control panel/backup or restore/recover system settings on your computer and then restore back to a time before the antivirus was installed and the usb worked fine. if this doesnt fix the issue then the flash could be faulty from not ejecting in windows properly
