I have 4 pcs and have never to had to load a driver to make them work, do you mean audio drivers.............

It's unusual for DVD/CD drives to require drivers. As mentioned in another uninstall and see if Windows picks the hardware up again. Go into device manager then find the drive, right click then click uninstall. Reboot and see if Windows finds the new hardware and installs automatically. Failing that download from Acer website.Comment

Make sure its activated to boot in your bios settings.
At start up press either f2 or del depending on what type of pc you have.
Scroll through the menus and make sure its set to boot.."Windows - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition."Comment
