so your answer is to add way more bloat to XP in order for it to look and feel like vista?

As for incompatabilities, the only ive came across is for obscure hardware from the late 80s and early 90s, like cirrus logic cards (of which i cant even get linux drivers) token ring cards, old pci soundblaster 16 cards (although i hear theres support now via generic drivers)
In my experience the lack of hardware support is purely speculative scaremongering from the ZOMG TEH VISTAIDS IS TEH SUX crowd.
The exact same crowd who was all "OH NOES XP IS BLOATWARE" back when people jumped from 2k.
Exactly the same crowd who complained about 2k switchover from 98se etc etc.

Who needs windows 95? i mean its not an operating system unless you need to boot to dos and type WIN to boot 3.11

The only compatability issues ive had have been regarding 64bit drivers and the vast majority of that hardware was greatly depreciated also...

After sp1 any reasons to avoid a switchover ceased to exist except in the eyes of diehard zealots.

Besides Workbench 3.5 on the Amiga was the pinacle of OS's but unfortunately its a dead art
i totaly miss my "Guru Meditation Error" messages.
