    Intel 965 Chipset Graphics Issue

    Hello all,

I have an Acer laptop which was running slow so I reformatted with Win 7.

The desktop is now too narrow and if I change resolution it remains the same?

I have downloaded latest driver from Intel website still no luck.

It was running fine on Win 7 prior to reformatting?

    Any ideas?

    You can try this.

Go to "Device Manager" ,drop down "Display adapters" , Uninstall the drivers for your display (intel 965 chipset). It will ask if your sure and click OK (yes). Computer will need to reboot and when it comes back up it will install what it thinks are the best drivers. Sometimes drivers get corupted when installed and this will set it right. Worth a try and can't hurt.

If you need help on finding this or a step by step let me know.

sometimes with graphics drivers you need to download from the makers site, try going to acers site and getting from there
