    Win 7 & win 8 dual boot question

    Has anyone done this...would like to check out win 8 but don't want to loose my win 7

    I'll save you the trouble... Don't bother, it's crap.

    If you really want to know, put a cheap HDD in place of your win7 drive & install 8.

    I'd say within 20mins of using it, the cheap HDD will be smashed to bits due to windows 8 usage rage.
    It's like road rage in bumper cars. Only your computer gets smashed up.

      download VMWARE (Virtual Machine), its free

      install VMWARE and then install win8 on that

      try it out if u dont like it just delete the win8 image under VM

      BTW in my opinion also win8 is pooooooo.

        Hi, I am using win 8 in exactly this way together with win7.
        No problem.

          make a new partition on ur original hdd then go install 8
