got a inspiron 5150 laptop, it is constantly running the cooling fan and i have continual shutdown if i run a watch a stream movie, virus scan, or rip a cd.....any ideas
I had a a similar one, found that inside the fan was full of fluff and dust, you have too dismantle the u/neath cover to get at it,then take the cooling system apart, easy job to do.......
?6odd will buy you a can of deionised air from ASDA, just attatch the straw nozzle and place it in one of the intake holes in the bottom and let rip and watch all the dust get blown ot the outtake vent.
because its deionized theres no risk of creating static build up and frying anything.
saves opening the unit up if its still under warranty.
it works pretty well, ive used a stack of these cans in the past and all it takes is a couple of sprays to clear out everything.
its not as good as stripping everything down and giving it a deep clean, but if you do it once a month the dust never really gets a chance to settle down and cause clogs.
Tried to take back off with little success so invested in a can of air blew it in all 3 holes got some dust out of one vent only but it seems to have done the job its now running virus scan plus able to watch a movie without fan even kicking in.... one day i will take the back of and have a good look once i find a manual of dismantling it
