Is it not as simple as right clicking on file & selecting 'open with...' & 'choose default program'

I have no use for CAD, so don't have it installed. Just stating the obvious/simple stuff.

Next time I see my dad I'll ask him. He does use CAD so might have a better idea.

i have tryed right click and shft right click and no open with option appears

what i think i will have to do is when i do a clean install is to put autocad on first

perhaps a last resort but what about a system restore to before the autocad install, which should rectify the file assoc and then custom install without the scr file assoc to autocad( if there is that option?)
        just a thought

that is so close to wat i need but my file it self extracts and runs from it current location
so dosent install to the system

i think i need to find change the string of the autocad.dll file or rename it to stop the association
