External hardrive

Hi guys thinking of getting an external drive as my computer is full of films and photos, been told to get 1tb drive and free up my pc. any suggestions to what is a good brand or make ? cheers for taking the time

is the cheapest 1tb external ive seen in a while.
the downside is that the blue led is seriously eyeburningly bright.
ive stuck some insulating tape over mine though so its not that big a deal.

That sounds vgood to me cheer`s m8 it`s alot cheeper than the ones i`ve looked at.

ya looks a great external hd tho not to sure on the cache if you get a new one why not try find one with a 32mb cache ?

also depends how you transfer to pc

usb 2 max speed is 480mb/s
sata is 3GB/s some pc's need a pci card if they dont have one for this its a esata cards some are better than others.

some ppl make their own by getting internal hard drives and enlosures they have different sizes 2.5 3.5 etc
