    laptop problem

hi guys, i am currently using an -acer aspire 5935g, running windows 7, it seems to be running slower than usual, every 10-15 minutes or so it just stops and says "internet explorer not responding" also on the bottom of the laptop it seems to get quite hot near to where the fan is situated, is there any help or advice on this please, hope to hear from someone soon, cheers.

Make sure your OS is up to date, check Windows Update and allow all updates..

Make sure your Laptop has the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed..

Run a full Virus & Spyware Scan... Check for Malware using Malwarebytes..

Do as Cod3wax says and stop any unwanted programs starting automatically, or better still, uninstall any unwanted programs..

Do not use compressed air on the air vents, all it will do is blow fluff and dust deeper inside the laptop... If the air vents look a bit fluffed up carefully pass the end of your Vac cleaner nozzle across them...

Try to clean the fan and heat sink. I had the same problem and it works fine.

          Reverse air flow

Use compressed air but use it on the air out vent . this will blow the hair, lint and fuzz right out the intake vent. I've been doing this for years with 100% positive results on more laptops then I can count.

Yeh and you might also cripple the PC after sucking bits off the board..

Back on topic, a would run Ccleaner, do a defrag and update the usual suspects like Java, Flash, Adobe Reader and of course Windows updates.
Like others said, hit it with a can of air but do not use a hoover..

I'll say it again, do not squirt compressed air into a Laptop, its very silly..

(But then, as a Qualified HP/Compaq Engineer, what do I know)

Ma post was directed at Hammerfrog who simply stated use a vacuum..
I never said squirt compressed air into a laptop, i assumed the guy was going to take the panels off it and give it a good service..
If he had done then putting a vacuum across it isn't a good idea, i didn't see your initial post..
But then 3 yrs at college and fixing PC's for 18 yrs, what do i know.....

Not to start an argument here and I'm sure you've had a bad experience at some time with compressed air at a very HIGH PSI setting, but to say it's Silly is not very helpful IMHO.

I've been using compressed air set at no more then 30 p.s.i. for the last 20 yrs. by blowing the air thru(in) the exhaust vent and out the fan's intake without any problems. I would say to becareful and use the right technic as this can be very helpful and not IMHO SILLY.

NO Vacumcleaners Please (except the little ones for keyboards). Your just asking for trouble in IMHO.
