    missing sound drivers need help.

hi. i have a dell dimension 9150, i had to restall xp, have no sound now , went into device manager, tryed to up date the driver. but no luck, i think the sound card is made by Sigmate stac 9xx c-major hd drives, i have looked on the web, but cant find any that will work, went into the bios settings. to see if its was set to off. but its on, in device manager.its showing as working ok? might have the wrong driver down loaded.. if that is possible?? and help welcome, thanks..

its always a idea to back up your hardware drivers to a disk or usb, someway down the line it will come in handy, i also backup my partitions often, saves a lot of time if you get a bad virus ect
