The Classic view has been removed from Windows 7. If you check Control Panel > Programs there is an option to run programs as if they are in a previous OS. I have managed to get all of my programs to run using that option.

The Windows 7 RC can be downloaded from Microsoft for free and will work for the next 12 months and accept all the Windows 7 updates.

Bear in mind though that Windows 7 RC will start forced 2 hourly shutdowns beginning March 2010! It will expire fully in June 2010.

True but I actually like Windows 7 RC so much I might actually break one of my life's rule and pay for the OS!

I love how everyone changes things to how they looked in Windows 2000. I have to admit its one of the first things I do too. I wonder why MS bother changing the look through releases when nobody really likes it
