    Need a new O/S

    Hi guys i think its time i formated my laptops and pc's for a new operating system

    any thoughts on the best 1 i'm toying between Xp and 7 but not sure theres a good bootleg 7 out there ?

    Go for Win 7, available from the usual sources.

      definetly win7 Ultimate edition. and if your pc has the appropiate componenets (CPU and ram) go for the 64bit edition

        thanks mate been looking about and lots of people think there are trojans attached to the bootlegs available for download unless you no of one thats ok

          What's all this bootleg talk?

          You just need a standard Win7 download, whichever version you want. Install it & don't enter a product key. That will give you a 30 day trial.

          Then you just use Daz Loader or WGA Chew to activate it.

                  It depends if you run any specific s/w,i changed to 7 and had nothing but conflicts with s/w i wanted to use.So it was back to xp 4 me m8.......................

                    I run 7pro at home. Not seen any problems yet, but there's always compatibility mode on Pro & Ultimate. Install the troublesome program & select XP mode in the compatibility options.

                      All depends on spec of the system. XP requires less resources to run than windows 7 so is suited more to older machines

                          I've got win 7 ultimate running on a Samsung N150 Netbook, not had any problems yet.

                            How the hell did you get 7 working on an N150? Mine struggles with XP at times.

                            I did have 7 working on a single core 1.7Ghz laptop with 512MB & IDE drive. It was slow & multitasking was none existant
