slow internet

Hi I thought i post this, i had a friend of mine he had a really slow internet with 10MB virgin cable, he was using wirless network(D-link router) because he wa sa bit lazy he was using wep 64-bit someoneone using his internet from next door so i changed it for wpa-psk with good and strong password, so never use wep-64 bit or even higher use wpa-psk .
You can find a key for wep using aircrack with backtrack live cd under 10 minute, i test that wep i found it very fast but when i change that wireless router to wpa-psk i i use aircrack-ng bruteforce dictinary after 30 hours couldn't mangae to find it so always use a strong password

I just have to comment. Just think about what you're saying here. You changed from WEP because it was 'hacked' in 10 minutes. So what? Who is going to be interested in your wireless network? Do you have stuff that is so secret that your spotty 12 year old next door neighbour might want to have a peek? Come on, let's be sensible. No one in their right mind is going to go to the extent of trying to 'crack' your network just to get some free bandwidth or have a look at your ~~~~. WEP encryption is quick and secure enough for general day to day use. You might not be able to connect your Mac to it but hey, who cares about Macs anyway! Be sensible and stop listening to all of the media hype for goodness sake.
