Virus changing everything to exe files

Hi there,

Anyone know how to save the original folders on a USB pen drive when it has got a virus changing them all into exe files?

Not come across this one before, but I assume the easiest way would be to format the pen drive assuming that you have a backup of the files somewhere else ? You should have at least two backups of the same files just in case !

And always back up ya back ups from your back up if you dont its not backed up.......................

most likely a virus or a worm you picked up did you run an antivirus scan?

sometimes when it makes the exes it will hide the original files

Go to Start >, type cmd in the box run as admin and press OK. This will show the DOS command prompt
Using My Computer, view the drive of hidden folders
Go to Command Prompt and type this to unhide all folders and files:
attrib d:\*.* /d /s -h -r -s

d you will need to change to your drive letter
