has any body got a souloution windows xp home reboots all the time after the splash screen and can't get into windows wont even start in safe mode any ideas can't reinstall new operating system ive got 5 gb of family photos on it tried everything

you got XP home and key to install it?
Boot to the XP disk, DONT Select Recovery Console, instead select 'Install Windows' , you'll get the EULA, press F8 to accept it THEN it'll get to the part where it checks for other Installed operating systems. it SHOULD detect your current installation - at this point selection 'Repair' - all it will do now, is run thru the install BUT leaving your program files, documents, etc all intact. it just replaces the windows system files.
