    Ssd hard drive install

Hi everyone. I have a hp envy laptop which has a 32gb ssd hard drive and and a regular 2.5" hard drive. I have wiped it many times before but recently I tried to wipe it and did something wrong. Previously when I was installing I just had to load raid driver and then select my hard drive from list. Now I have option to install it on either of my hard drives. I was under the impression that the ssd drive was paired with the 2.5" drive to increase speed and now they are seperate. Does anyone know how to link these two drives into one as before?

    Why would you want to?

Running both a standard HDD & a SSD drive as raid, kind of defeats the object of having the SSD.

Leave the Raid drivers out of it. Install the OS onto the SSD & use the standard drive for your storage.

It was the way it came as new. If I remember correctly the description said the ssd was only used for caching files or something..

Why would you use the fastest drive just to cache files when the system memory's full?

It will run faster using the SSD for booting the os. Adding memory would also help, if it's not already at it's max.
