    Ubuntu 8.04

    Ubuntu 8.04 is release again, it's long term support OS. I tryed to install from desktop but it Hang. What is wrong. My pc is Pentium 2.66 GHz. Ram 256 MB. M/b asus P533, HDD 80 GB and free HD = 24 GB. Please Help!, Thanks.

      Are you doing a fresh install or installing over a previous version?

      I've only ever installed from the CD-ROM.

          just a guess is it a ram problem

          not recognising the amount ram you have ?

              ive just upgraded to 8.04 just fine, like the new look..

              i would imagine u need to upgrade your ram, though 256 should really be enough
