    DELL STUDIO 1558 XP DRIVERS

    HI

I have a dell studio 1558 and i have installed win xp sp3,got most of the drivers using Radar Sync, now my problem is that i dont thing i got the correct drivers for my audio, key board and mouse.(touch pad)
Can any one please share or point me in the right direction as to how i can solve this problem.
The other thing is that it is acting like a desktop not a laptop, when i shut it down it ends up saying IT IS NOW SAFE TO TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER instead of just shutting down like a normal laptop pc.
I also see standard floppy disk controller in the device manager, right now i am using usb mouse and usb keyboard.
hope to get your input on this laptop problems.

    Thanks in advance.

to know if the drivers are in correctly you need to view your device manager and see if there's any yellow ! next to the hardware device

    to do this

    1. On the desktop right-click on My Computer and click Properties or open the Control Panel and double-click the System icon.
    2. In the System Properties window click the Hardware tab.
    3. In the Hardware tab click the Device Manager button.

if you do find any hardware with the yellow ! then u need to update the driver using firstly xp's own checking system

if no luck then you need to open the properties of the device and view the hardware's id and copy n paste the results here and we can search for you

      Hi
      Thanks for the reply.
The key board id is HID\VID_413C&PID_8161\7&3173C14B&0&0000
      mouse has id HID\VID_046D&PID_C06A\6&49ECAAF&0&0000
      Another mouse HID\VID_413&PID_8162&COLO1\7&746B9B9&0&0000
Then again non of these drivers have a yellow mark on them, but i dont think the drivers used are for XP.
