hey guys I have a p4m80-m4 biostar motherboard with a celeron 2.26ghz (133x17.0)cpu and 512mb @ 333mhz memory so I cleared the cmos and updated the ram to 2x1gig pc3200 @400mhz now the cmos is saying Warning cpu has been changed or cpu ratio changed fail please re-enter cpu settings in cmos...
press f8 to enable system coniguration
press f9 to select booting device after post
press f1 to continue, del to enter setup
when i go to the bois the current FSb it says 133MHz and Dram says 100MHz any ideas why???? I think it shouls be saying 533 fsb but not sure.everytime i restart i have to keep pressing f1 for computer to load.
    Need Help Please Thanks.

        replace the old memory

        see if it boots.

Then update the bios BIOSTAR and then try the different memory modules.

My old motherboard screws up all the time when I add new things or unplug replug the HD and stuff and once its starts going funny it usually for some reason begins to just not post anymore

So what I do is keep removing batt or just reset the bios jumper then re arm it... you may have to do this a few times for a couple of days before it posts again

Ive had to do this about 6 times over about 5yrs of having the motherboard and was gonna bin it loads of times but after long it begins posting again

Mine is a PC Chips board... put the bios jumper on reset bios for a day or 2 then back to normal setting see if it posts
